Bio

The Music

Radio-friendly, edgy rocktronica — rock embracing a techno feel that flows from dark and trancy to electrically energetic. The driving loops and rhythms exist in harmony with an enigmatic lyrical spin that takes you on a journey into the world of Gretle.

The Players
Jeff AndersonBass / Keyboards / Programming

While writing and recording his own projects, Jeff played bass and keyboards for Forefront artist Code of Ethics, bass for Essential artist Eric Champion, and for Aware artist Sparkle Drive. A well-trained ear and gifts as a writer, matched by soulful bass licks and a dynamic stage presence.

Darren FutchGuitars / Keyboards / Programming

Darren played with a variety of local bands. While his band Avalanche (later Irsha) recorded with producer Fred Coury (drummer for Cinderella), he invited Jeff to play and write — the match that sparked the beginning of Gretle. His knowledge of today's changing music scene is an asset beyond his exceptional guitar playing.

Brandi DioneVocals / Lyricist

Brandi has performed with cover and original bands and extensively as a professional actress, singer, and dancer — winning a 1999 Tennessean Best Actress Award for Any Wednesday. A black belt in karate, she incorporates movement into live performances as a vocalist, lyricist, and an all-around force to be reckoned with.

The Band

Craig Krampf produced Gretle's debut CD Lost in Thought, featuring his world-renowned skills as a drummer. The legendary Bill Cuomo added tasteful keyboard tracks and engineered and mixed the record, which features songs co-written by Gretle, Krampf, and Cuomo. It was released on Sonic Sorbet Records on May 20, 2003.

Gretle was featured on Nashville's 102.9 The Buzz on their Local Buzz show and played the Italian Street Fair and venues including 12th and Porter, Wolfy's, The Outer Limit, The End, and Windows on the Cumberland. Though a trio, they incorporated a drummer into their live performances and recordings to pair a powerfully energetic feel with skillfully placed electronica.

We invite you to listen and wander through the land of thought.
