THE PLAYERS

JEFF ANDERSON: (BASS/ KEYBOARDS/ PROGRAMMING) While writing and recording his own projects, he spent time playing bass and keyboards for Forefront recording artist Code of Ethics, and bass for Essential recording artist Eric Champion, as well as Aware recording artist, Sparkle Drive. Jeff’s well-trained ear and his gifts as a writer are matched only by his soulful bass licks and his dynamic stage presence.

DARREN FUTCH: (GUITARS/ KEYBOARDS/ PROGRAMMING) Darren has played with a variety of musicians in local bands. While his band Avalanche (later Irsha) was recording with producer Fred Coury (drummer for the band Cinderella), he invited Jeff to play and write. That match sparked the beginning of Gretle. Darren has his finger on the pulse of today’s changing music scene, that coupled with his well rounded knowledge of music makes him an asset beyond his exceptional guitar playing.

BRANDI DIONE: (VOCALS/ LYRICIST) Brandi has performed with various cover and original bands. She has also performed extensively as a professional actress/ singer/ dancer. She was awarded a 1999 Tennessean Best Actress Award for her work in Any Wednesday, and was nominated for best actress in Boeing Boeing, and best newcomer at the 1996 First Night Awards. She works for LifeWork Productions, a division of Family and Children’s Services which brings live theatre and musical productions into the local schools. She is a black belt in Karate and enjoys incorporating movement into live performances. Through all this she has honed her skills as a vocalist, lyricist, and as an all around force to be reckoned with.

THE BAND

Craig Krampf took the trio into the studio to produce Gretle’s debut CD, Lost in Thought, where they are honored to feature his world-renowned skills as a drummer. The legendary Bill Cuomo added tasteful keyboard tracks to many of the songs as well as engineered and mixed the CD. It features songs co-written by Gretle, Krampf, and Cuomo. The CD was released on Sonic Sorbet Records on May 20, 2003. Gretle has been featured on Nashville’s 102.9 The BUZZ on their Local Buzz show and has played in Nashville at The Italian Street Fair and venues including 12th and Porter, Wolfy's, The Outer Limit, The End, Windows on the Cumberland, and more. Although they are a trio, they incorporate a drummer into their live performances and recordings to create a powerfully energetic live feel in conjunction with the dynamics of skillfully placed electronica.
